Ni Hao - we have arrived!

Mia's first MARTA ride (aka train).

The first of many airplanes

I would like to say this is what we looked like when we arrived, but that would be a big fat lie!

Mia playing with her new buddies!

Mia gets comfortable and finally gets really comfortable!

We had a minor travel delay and finally got to our Hotel in Beijing at 10:00 p.m. Thursday (11 a.m. there). Mia did GREAT on the trip and we are so grateful for the Koren family that sat next to us - they travelled with their four children all under the age of 12! She finally passed out and did manage to sleep for a little over 2 hours. We were so exhausted when we arrived that we all fell asleep at 11:30 p.m. and slept until 5 a.m.! We have just finished a great breakfast and Edwin and Mia are off to an ATM machine.

We head to Xi'an this afternoon which will give us a few days to settle in before we meet Kylee. Tomorrow we plan on doing some sightseeing and checking out some of the historical sites in the oldest City in China, Xi'an.

China is still celebrating Chinese New Year and the fireworks have been nonstop (even as I type).

Love and miss everyone!

Xiexie (Thank you!)

  4. One long trip behind you! The puppies are doing fine. They enjoy their walks in the morning and evening. The best part is Yoda keeps all the young wipper snappers under control. All is fine here, enjoy your time there. -Keith
