The planning or lack thereof!

We made a list and checked it twice and Lord help us all be nice!

I finally got some sleep last night, well more like passed out after three nights of no sleep at all. My mind is filled with all the things that need to be done but also with all the anticipated changes that I know will be heading our way very soon.

Our flights are booked and this evening we have our first travel meeting with the agency. During this call they will walk us through our itinerary and the process while in China. To be honest the only thing I am dying to know is what time the "delivery" is scheduled for (aka Gotcha Day in the adoption world)! After we receive Kylee into our family I couldn't care less about the rest of the trip, that is where Edwin's job comes in -- I hope he takes a lot of notes!

Mia has started an "event" calendar (aka Advent calendar) to help her "member" when we are leaving. Every morning while eating her breakfast she diligently checks off yet another day. She has her very own pink suitcase (thank you Steph!) and it is filled with toys and dolls she plans on taking for this trip. Little does she know I have been secretly replacing those items with the essentials (or what I believe to be essentials) - clothes and shoes.

So much to do in so little time to get ready for the trip. I have to somehow pack enough clothes for two adults and two girls without exceeding the luggage limits! Not to mention the weather will be in the low 20s high 30s in Xian so that will add extra bulk.

Edwin has arranged a "vacation" for Yoda and Spot -- this is a big burden off my mind. They will spend 17 glorious days with Keith at his Villa in Atlanta -- Keith has 2 dogs Mac (Bichon) and Denver (Mini-Schnauzer). Our guys will spend their days frolicking in the sun and enjoying the freedom to openly lick where no man has licked before!

I am grateful for so many of our neighbors and friends that have graciously offered to help with things like mail, garbage even cranking up our cars! So thank you all -- I can't tell you how much I appreciate you.

Okay, off to make yet another list (this really keeps me busy and entertained not to mention it passes the time) of things that still need to be done.
