Thank you all!

Edwin and I want to send a great big thanks to everyone for all your wonderful messages on our blog. Everyday we look forward to reading the posts from friends and family which keeps us close to home.

Mia said she is ready to go back to school but does seem to enjoy the life of Hotel Living -- no beds to make in the mornings, no clothes to put away and playtime is all the time! I am amazed at how nicely Mia has adjusted to sharing her time with Kylee. The facilitator mentioned yesterday that by day 3 or 4 most siblings are starting to get a little jealous and winning, which so far so good. We told Mia that the next hotel will have a playroom (hopefully Mattel still has the playroom at the White Swan) and that we would eat at a non-Chinese restaurant so Papa John's here we come!

We keep wondering what Kylee will think once we get home and the endless breakfast buffets are gone, the daily outings and the "no rules" environment are gone. The orphanage tells them they are going to their new "home" and once we head back to Atlanta Jojo (our guide) will explain to her that she is going to her forever home. I think the orphanage does a great job of preparing the children for the transition.

We will add some pictures of the Terra Cotta Warriors when we get back this afternoon!

Love,

The Geveke family

  2. I couldnt wait to see how things went on the trip, then I remembered about Kylee's Blog! I am so happy to see the pictures and I am so glad to hear everyone is adjusting nicely. The pictures of the girls sleeping are precious. I noticed that Kylee enjoys the camera just like her big sister!! We cant wait until the day that Elle gets to play with her new cousin. Girls are the best and we are so happy to have another one in the family! =) We love you Mia and we hope you are enjoying China and your little sister!

    Love,

Aunt Boston and Uncle Wayne here. We can't wait for you to get home and get adjusted there so we can come play with you soon. We will have a great time together and, Mia, you can tell us all about the things Kylee likes and doesn't like. We love you so much!!
